(CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton thanked supporters in an e-mail Thursday and pledged to help Sen. Barack Obama capture the White House after eight years of Republican control.Clinton plans to thank supporters in person at a Washington D.C. event Saturday, her campaign said, but she got a head start in an e-mail the campaign sent early Thursday.
"I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise," the message said.
"This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans."
Fellas, any parting words for the Senator?
Would Obama be politically naive enough to choose her for the V.P. spot?
Obama wont choose her in a million years. If he does than simply based on that no one should vote for him, lack of judgement...
ANt, you think he would choose another black guy as the VP? because I know one that is way smarter than him on economics and ethics, goes to a "real" church, has impeccable speaking and debating skills, has a PhD, doesnt have a ratty wife, and has some of the coolest friends in the world. Just curious if you thought he might go that route?
I think there is a chance that Obama will choose her. I will definitely motivate her supporters to vote for him which makes it almost impossible for him to lose in November. I would love to be wrong on this.
I'm not sure Hilary adds votes that Obama needs in order to beat McCain. And Hilary as VP will make for an incredibly contentious administration, with the wild card (literally) being Bill Clinton. Very little upside and potentially catastrophic downside.
Now, Anthony Bradley as VP will bring a lot of "right wing Evangelical" votes that McCain assumes are his. that would be fun!
Confession: I just sent a message to Obama on his website asking him not to choose Hilary for a running mate(tess).
a few months ago I heard him highly recommend a book on Lincoln as one of 2 books (along with the bible) that he'd take to the white house if only allowed 2.
I bought it and read it as a commentary on him. The book goes to great lengths describing how Lincoln brought all of his opponents in the primary into his cabinet. . . then yesterday I heard him refer to this.
I sure hope that he doesn't put her on the ticket but I fully expect a prominent role for her, bill and Edwards. ..
...if you gave all of us his eMail - we TOO could eMail him with the same sentiments...
Yeah you sent him an email... ok ANt like we believe that! You sent him a solicitation... CMon dont be modest.
Parting Words?? How about YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's gone.
