Anthony Bradley On CNN/Headline News With Glenn Beck

Glenn Beck's awesome. I had a ton of fun doing this! Watch here and you can hear my perspective on Obama's pastor. I was honored to be on the show and on CNN.

anthony, so serious...but really, congrats man, that's fantastic. way to be the "expert" on that black stuff glen didn't know anything about.

While I might take issue with Glenn Beck's awesomeness, I think it's great that a solid Christian voice is being heard on this topic. Great job.

I thought you did a great job!

Anthony, great job man! I liked the Red tie too!! It is great to see someone like yourself representing a Christian perspective on CNN, usually it seems they can get Pastor Crazy that makes me cringe and think great we have just gone 5 steps back! You did an awesome job, makes me stoked to be a Covenant student!!!

Anthony,

Good job handling a difficult topic. Thanks for helping us categorize Dr. Jeremiah Wright's theological views as "Black Liberation Theology." It's Marxist undertones are indeed very troubling.

While Senator Obama has distanced himself from Rev. Wright's inflammatory comments I'm not sure that he has done the same with this brand of theology.

Also, didn't Glenn Beck say you've written 3 essays for his magazine?

Posted by: t.smith at March 28, 2008 11:59 AM

t.smith, yeah? And?

Posted by: Anthony at March 28, 2008 03:21 PM

Will you be allowed to excerpt it here on your blog...I bet you have good stuff to say in them. I recently read "Liberal Fascism" by Jonah Golberg, he echoes some of what you said about these guys being stuck in the '60s.

Anthony, your other posts lend me to believe that you would like Obama to be president. These types of shows seem like they will eventually cost him the Presidency. The show implies that because he attends this church, that he is a firm believer in Black Liberation Theology. If in fact he does, why would you want him as president? and if he doesnt, why dont shows like this one make the connection that although his church (or perhaps just his pastor) believes these things he does not. It seems that the more people know about BLT, the less likely people will vote for him.

sharon, for the sake of clarity you may not have read my previous posts carefully. I want Obama to win the democratic party's nomination for the Presidency. That's A LOT different.

Good stuff, Anthony.

AB,

Interesting take. I wish there were more bi-racial (black.white) voices in this mix. We have thoughts too, and they are maybe different from the traditional voices.

I hope we can connect in GR at Acton U this Summer.

Peace, CB.

Anthony, you recommended book to me a few months ago about using the term race. I didn't like term because it conjured notions of eugenics - if I recall correctly you countered that there was some merit to the term.

I can't locate the orignial post or the series of responses... if you can recall what you mentioned I'd appreciate the referral.
