One guy said he wanted to use the money to underwrite abortions to get rid of black people and someone from planned parenthood that she was "excited" to his request.
Will we hear anything from Hillary, Barack, Jesse, Al?
Why is the "black community" not outraged at this?
Fellas, what??

Maybe they are busy elsewhere, this just proves that the idiots we will always have with us. I mean think about the people who support abortion anyway. Murder is murder.

Posted by: Scott Jordan at March 3, 2008 07:56 PMI'm trying to understand how a politically astute organization like Planned Parenthood managed to find a moron like Autumn Kersey to answer the phone for them. I don't think even the Klan would lack the common sense to have somebody openly say that they're actively looking to kill Black babies, and say what you like about PP, politically they're pretty sophisticated. Anthony, I'm candidly wondering if this whole thing is a fraud.
None of which is to say that I approve of abortion -- I don't. I just think it's very easy to fabricate stuff and we should be very careful about passing stuff along that hasn't been vetted. If this does turn out to be a fake, you can bet Planned Parenthood will then milk it for all it's worth.
Posted by: NI at March 3, 2008 08:53 PMThe answer is that too many of the leading Black intellectuals are Marxists who care more about the "freedom" of the woman to abort than they do about the life snuffed out. I took a class from one of these leading intellectuals and he absolutely refused to consider any argument that abortion was about more than just a woman's control over her body. Even when I argued that abortion was bad for the Black community's long-run political interests, he was still stuck in his mindset of individuality.
A great site discussing abortion and the Black community: http://www.blackgenocide.org/black.html
Posted by: tusc0n raider at March 4, 2008 10:11 AMPP's racism goes back to its founder, Margaret Sanger. she subscribed to the malthusian doctrine of overpopulation and the belief that abortion & sterilization was needed to keep the "undesirables" population down. Not a humanitarian at all.
Thanks for exposing PP's dirty little "secret."
NI, a hoax?? Then why is Planned Parenthood suspending employees from the taped phone calls. It's all over the news http://www.ktvb.com/news/localnews/stories/ktvbn-mar0108-planned_parenthood_rally.12209cf5.html
In what way could this be a hoax? Are saying that planned parenthood employees are in on it too?
Posted by: Anthony at March 4, 2008 10:43 AMABORTION is a private decision. Usually not arrived at without a lot of guilt and panic and second guessing. Thinking more of the LIFE within...
I think you guys need to step back - you can't imagine the mental torture a woman goes through when posed with this decision.
Perhaps if the men would keep their pants ON -> we would have less discussion around this subject.
Anthony, have you the guts to leave this on your blog?!
Posted by: Just Meee~ at March 4, 2008 10:56 AMJust Meee - the point of the post wasn't to condemn women making difficult decisions, the point was to show racism as still alive in well. Even if someone supports the right of abortion, shouldn't they still be dismayed at "donations for genocide?"
Anthony: What do you think about the possibility of Christians working with Planned Parenthood to counsel women after the abortion to help deal with the "mental torture"?
Posted by: Mike at March 4, 2008 11:10 AMAnthony, when I first saw this my BS detector went into overdrive because this is precisely the type of smear that is common in politics on both sides. I couldn't say for sure it was a hoax but I sure was skeptical. And stuff similar to this has turned out to be a hoax in the past.
After spending some time on the Internet and seeing that it actually did happen, apparently I stand corrected. OK, so a politically astute organization like PP really did hire a moron to answer the phone for them.
Posted by: NI at March 4, 2008 11:23 AMI dont think those in the audio were "bad apples" in the PP org. They are always looking for donations. I bet their staffers are told to get donations, however possible!!! (Just my opinion)
I dont think this proves that PP is a racist organization, but I do believe they have "no limits" to their immorality.
And the second call to Autumn...how ridiculous!!! The guy kept pushing the envelope to make her crack, but she never did!!!!! That is very disturbing!!!
Posted by: Frese at March 4, 2008 12:31 PMI'm not sure this is just about "getting donations however they can," NI. Perhaps it is, but I'd be curious to see statistics on where the majority of PP clinics are placed. I doubt there are many in upper-middle class white neighborhoods. Of course, my guess is that it mere racism that would be shown, but also a marked focus on poor areas. Sanger's philosophies are alive and well within that organization, I'm sure. Even the idea that abortions "help these people out" is often an offensive position of superiority. Not always, but often.
Posted by: dramaturge at March 4, 2008 01:46 PMDrama, 94% of Planned Parenthood facilities are in or near minority communities. www.blackgenocide.com (or .org)
Posted by: Anthony at March 4, 2008 01:55 PMI'm not sure the mere fact that most PP facilities are in or near minority communities, standing alone, tells us much, since I think it's more about economics than race. Well-to-do people of all races don't have many abortions because they practice birth control and don't have that many unwanted pregnancies. It's poor women of all races who have the majority of abortions for the same set of reasons many of them are poor in the first place: unable or unwilling to make good choices.
Posted by: NI at March 4, 2008 02:56 PMthat was the youtube generation's version of a modest proposal. brilliant.
Posted by: john at March 4, 2008 05:52 PMWow.. I am so donating..
Anyone know if I can get someone specific aborted? There's a black guy in my neighborhood.. say 62nd trimester?
Posted by: rr at March 4, 2008 10:18 PMPerhaps the reason PP facilities are located in certain communities is due to demand, like KFC, car dealers, and so on. No one is forcing anyone to go get an abortion. Is anyone seriously making the argument that since there's an abortion clinic on the way to the local KFC that it's some racist conspiracy? I need me some chicken and I think I'll get an abortion on the way!? Meanwhile, some cracker is walking to the local starbucks, but luckily there's no PP on the way, so decides to keep the baby?! That's a redonkerous position and just fortifies the excuse mentality for ones own actions.
Posted by: Obama at March 4, 2008 10:49 PMYeah, it probably has more to do with the populations that have more "unwanted" pregnancies. There's a PP less than a mile from where I live. It's sort of next to a Lowes and a Borders. I'm in a college town (probably in the 6%...). There are constantly ads in the school newspaper with happy-looking young women and comments about being in control of one's life.
Posted by: Jamie at March 5, 2008 11:16 AMYou know, if murdering about half a million black babies every year doesn't bother Sharpton, Obama, and others, it would be surprising to me if racism did.
Yes, they're quick to march when there's a TV camera there, but where have they been while AFDC and TANF ravaged black communities with the "father out of the home" rule? Where have they been as inner city schools consign generations to poverty?
On the wrong side of the issue, that's where, campaigning FOR the status quo.
