A mainstream white comedian would never do this. Jesus talk is still acceptable in mainstream black pop culture (for now).
Posted by anthony at December 28, 2007 11:09 AM | TrackBackAgreed. White comedians have followed in the footsteps of George Carlin where it's in vogue to be sacrilegious.
Good find. Thanks, I'll have to share the love.
Posted by: GUNNY HARTMAN at December 28, 2007 01:01 PMWas this at TD Jake's Megafest ?
Posted by: Colin Thomas at December 28, 2007 07:16 PMGreat post! I agree with Gunny Hartman.
Posted by: coconutsteve at December 28, 2007 09:01 PMagreed Gunny and coconut, but Carlin pales (and im not referring to his skin color) in comparison to a british guy (cant remember his name) who basically walks through the covenants in the OT and does his best to destroy Scripture in a comedic fashion...wish i could remember his name, but my bro showed me some of his stuff a couple of years ago. although, it brought out good conversation between my non-practicing buddhist brother and me.
Posted by: Nathan at December 28, 2007 09:35 PMThe problem here is that Steve Harvey thinks he is a Christian! And yes this was at the Mega Fest
Posted by: Lionel Woods at January 2, 2008 03:31 PMThe problem here lionel woods, who are you to judge. you must not have read your word. because the bible says judge not lest ye be judged. no one is righteous no not one. On the day of judgement, alot of people will be surprised. those people you think won't get in will. Instead of being critical of Steve, Pray for him.
