A new study reports that men want "hot" women.
Men's choices did not reflect their stated preferences, the researchers concluded. Instead, men appeared to base their decisions mostly on the women's physical attractiveness. The men also appeared to be much less choosy. Men tended to select nearly every woman above a certain minimum attractiveness threshold, Todd said.
Wow!! They did a study on this?

Posted by: daniel at September 4, 2007 03:33 PMI wonder how much money they got for doing this study.
Posted by: dramaturge at September 4, 2007 06:29 PMDid they really need to do a study to find out that we men are shallow?
Posted by: Darden Caylor at September 4, 2007 10:57 PMI hear that they're doing a follow-up study to verify the fact that men rate an increasing percentage of women as "hot" as they have more drinks.
J/K. But seriously, I would bet you'd see a little bit more depth of character if you took the study OUT of a "speed dating" setting. I vividly remember that the girls in college that every young man fell in love with were NOT those who did their best to "radiate sex appeal." Rather, the "ladies to die for" were ones who generally dressed very modestly and had a smile and an ability to hold a conversation.
State school, too.
