Clemson Beats FSU, Barely, But I'll Take It!

Clemson survives to beat FSU 24-18. ESPN has the game recap.

I'm sooooo glad we've got Cullen Harper. He's a real QB.

Here's what worries me: Clemson did not score in the second half.

Fellas, thoughts on the game?

It's got to be hard being a Clemson fan! I mean, you really can't tell how good you are based on one game. Consistency has been Clemson's struggle, so we'll have to wait and see if Clemson's season will be more like the 1st half of last night or the second half. I will give it to the defense that they had stopped FSU when they had to at the end. Playing in the ACC, they have a good chance of doing well. Good thing they don't have an SEC schedule :-)

Like a friend of mine said today: "Last night was a microcosm of Clemson's season last year."

Amen.

Hey Ant, remember the convo we had a few years back about T.Bowden doing just enough to keep his job but never really excelling?...

First half thoughts, "wow T. Bowden has his team ready for a serious run, and he has finally gotten over the mediocre performances of past years. His D is mentally there, his O is clicking and in unison and his QB is spot on.

2nd half thoughts, " He is going to get fired."

I mean how can you not score 1 pt? How does ur D give up 18 unanswered? I dont get it... once again he did just enough to keep his job. Clem fans are dying to see a real winner, a 40-10 trouncing, a fight to the finish dont let up and dont back down type of team/game.

I have more thoughts on stats but that is what kept coming to mind as I watched a perfect machine take an early lunch and come back too drunk to finish the job (almost:) ....

It is a great day when the Tigers take the Seminoles.
