Sigh. They still don't get it.

Um, Anthony, I hardly ever take the side of the "Little Geneva" crowd in anything, but the evidence coming out suggests that the police and DA's office did lie about virtually everything in that case. Put gently, there is no evidence that any of the three accused ever physically touched that stripper, let alone committed sexual assault.

Now, I won't say that you're culpable simply for believing the original reports, but I will suggest that as the evidence comes out of Mike Nifong's flat-out lies, you might do well to do a follow-up saying more or less "I was had." You've done well to come to the aid of a "mockingbird" in Central America; I'd suggest that if you look into the evidence, you'll come to the aid of three mockingbirds in North Carolina as well.

Robert, no way. My comments were primarily about "stripping" as a ridiculous activity. My piece never addressed the three but team a as whole. A team of men who took pleasure in being complicit in the dehumanization of two black women. Dehumanizing black women is always pathetic which, I'm guessing, may be a community that you do not have deep affections for. We still don't know exactly many of the drunken men in the room actually said to the strippers. Although these men had the rape charges dropped they are still thought it was a great idea to hire strippers. No way, dude, somebody's got to care about black women. I guess Imus' comments are no big deal either?

I'm sorry, there is no defense that can be made for someone who made every attempt to ruin the lives of three young men with complete lies. I don't care what was allegedly said, or whether it was a good idea or not to hire a stripper. I posted some video of the potbanger protest in durham on www.yuranasshole.com to show how many people tried to hang these young men without any evidence.

The Duke Lacrosse thing might have been a major hoax, but at least Anthony addressed the problem of Rape, which seems to go ignored in many Christian circles. I'm sure for every man falsly accussed of Rape, there are a hundred more cases of girls who are raped and to afraid to tell anyone. And many of these girls are naive Christian girls, i know a few firsthand.

Yet, it seems all Conservatives ever do is try to refute the statistics of how many girls have been raped in thier lifetimes as "feminist propaganda". If if the stats aren't completely accurate, this is still a huge problem that needs addressed from a Christian perspective. Which it seems Anthony is one of the only Conservative Christians doing it. Too many times we are leaving things like this to feminists who think the answer to ending Rape is the feminization of men rather than authentic Christian masculinity.

That wasn't the only thing in your column, though, Anthony. There is an implicit assumption in your column that a crime had actually occurred, and your detractors are correct to note that the evidence so far revealed does nothing to support that contention.

I'm with you 100% in being opposed to the "skin" industry, its effects, and its customers. However, you were wrong in assuming that someone had something to confess besides being a jerk who hired and then drunkenly watched a stripper.
