Why Are Non-Christians Seemingly More Honest, Friendly, Open, and Inviting Than Christians Are: Christians Really Don't Like New People

I don't get it. I was in Alaska a few months ago to be alone on vacation. I flew in on a Thursday night, met some complete strangers that I then hung out with them on Fri, and Sat. nights and by SUNDAY I was at a dinner party with these people who greeted my with hugs and kisses. There were no Christians in this group. Three days, a dinner party, and real affection? What?

I got a text message this morning at 7:20 am from one of my non-Christian friends that I've made (quite easily) to see if I was going to hang out with them tonight. What? Here's a theme I find with my non-Christian friends: let's hang out with more and more new people. Why don't Christians want to do this?

And my non-Christian friends are more open, and honest about their lives. Last weekend I met up with "the group" (that's very fluid) and one of the girls says she was having a bad day because she had just been suspended for 3 days from her job because of negligence. Then she started to tell me about her struggles with depression and her medications, etc. What? I've only know her for a few weeks and it would take YEARS for a Christian to be that honest it seems.

When you meet a lot of Christians for the first time a wall goes up. Defense. They won't let you in. Making new friends in the Christian world is one of the hardest parts of moving. Everytime I move I almost always seem to have non-Christian friends first and more easily. Christians don't like new people? Why is this?

Christians are like this: we have our 4 friends and we're done.

Why don't Christians like to have new people enter into their circle of friends? Why do Christians seem to struggle to be honest with each other? I ask my non-Christian friend, "how are you?" and she tells me honestly. I ask a Christian, "how are you?" and I get the fig leaf when she says, "oh, I'm fine?" That's such a huge, steamy, wet pile of bull@#%! or "rubbish" as Paul would say.

What?
