It's official (and finished)

After a whole host of interviews and examinations the board at Covenant Sem. approved my appointment as Assistant Professor of Apologetics and Systematic Theology.

Anthony,

I don't feel so alone in the world. I thought I was the only brutha on the planet who read Van til. Congrats!

Anthony S, thanks and yeah of course I have read Van Til. I'm doing a PhD focusing on apologetics at Westminster (in other words, I've read almost everything he ever wrote) including others in the presuppositional crowd (Bahnsen, et. al.).

Anthony,

I hope we get a chance to fellowship one day and chat about some of this stuff. I went through a period of reading alot of Christian Reconstructionist and Presuppostionalists. I read Rousas John Rushdoony's "Institutes of Biblical Law". Can you imagine a brutha from the hood, in a pentecostal church, studying theonomy? Needless to say it was worth the journey. If anything Reconstructionist will bring your theology back down to earth.

I look forward to reading your work in the future. I am very much interested in your thoughts on the relationship between black liberation theology and Thomas Sowell. I find that intriguing. Do you think you will publish something on this?

Ant S.
